In just over a week The Makeup Show Chicago will open its doors and welcome makeup artists and beauty professionals from all over the Midwest and beyond to spend the weekend with them. Below is what The Makeup Show recommends to stay FOCUSED.
Saturday, June 7th
The doors open at 9am sharp and the education gets started nice and early with Keynote Presentations from Renny Vasquez, Pati Dubroff and Ricky Wilson. Not to mention seminars on two stages from industry greats like Maurice Stein, Eugenia Weston and Jill Glaser. The day ends with The Makeup Show’s own James Vincent talking to us about portfolios and then The Makeup Show Chicago Portfolio & Career Fair from 5:30-6:30. Take time after the show to find a job, have an interview, get feedback on your portfolio and make the connections that can help bring your artistry and career to the next level. This event is on a first come first serve basis until it is full and attendees must register at the education desk anytime after noon.
Sunday, June 8th
You probably were not able to get all of your shopping done the day before so it’s a good thing you are breaking up your list of essentials over two days. Make sure you get to check out all of the new brands showcasing in Chicago including Charlotte Tilbury, Ashunta Sheriff Beauty, Anastasia, Cao Cosmetics, Fantabulash, Mario Badescu, Static Nails, Gorgeous Cosmetics, The Makeup Lighty and more. There will also be some great product launches and sales from companies you already know and love such as OCC Makeup, Kevyn Aucoin Beauty, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Temptu Pro and Inglot. In between your shopping do not miss Lianne Farbes, Ashunta Sheriff and the Face Off Panel with Anthony Kosar, Meagan Hester and Nix Herrera all on our Keynote stage.
